2018 Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Quarter launch held at the Legendary Waters Resort & Casino
The new Apostle Islands National Lakeshore quarter will be honored on April 11th, during the launch ceremony at the Legendary Waters Resort & Casino in Red Cliffs, WI – on the shores of Lake Superior. The Apostle Islands quarter is the second issue of 2018 and 42nd release of the National Park series. The night before the launch, a coin forum will be held at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center. This park has 21 different islands and a 12-mile stretch of lakeshore on the mainland for visitors to enjoy.
Attendees can exchange cash for $10 of quarters in rolls. Each quarter features a kayaker near the sea caves at Devils Island with a lighthouse in the background. The 2018 quarter series honors some of America’s more interesting and unusual parks – Pictured Rocks, Apostle Islands, Voyageurs, Cumberland Island and Block Island.
